Yarn Painting on a Gourd

Cost:  Members $60, Non-Members $85.00

Teacher:  Len de Graaf

Monday  May 6th   10:00 am to 4:00 pm   To my knowledge yarn painting on a gourd has not been done before! So this is a unique opportunity to experience the beauty of yarn painting!  Yarn painting is the process of pressing yarn onto a beeswaxed surface to create a unique piece of art.

Materials provided: a variety of different coloured yarns, a gourd that has been beeswaxed six times.
Participants are asked to bring a design or pattern (I used a variety of zentangles on the round gourd and a combination of Turkish motifs on the other) for inspiration.  The gourds we will be yarn painting will be round. Food vendors are located in the Square or bring a bagged lunch.
Please register before April 23
