Basic Machine Sewing - Next Steps

PRACTISE your newly acquired sewing skills by custom making your own size pillow case for book lovers, sports fans, or that special person.

LEARN to measure and cut out your fabric, sew your pieces together using the special burrito method and French seams for your finishing touch. 

*Basic sewing skills and machine knowledge required.


MATERIALS REQUIRED (preferably cotton or cotton blend)

  1. Main Pillowcase fabric 27” ~(69 cm) x 45”( or Width Of Fabric)
  2. Trim Fabric 4” ~ (10 cm) x 45” (or WOF)
  3. Cuff Fabric 12” ~(30 cm) x 45” (or WOF)
  4. Matching thread

Sewing machines are available at the ACP, however, preference is to bring your own. (Ensure it is currently in good working condition).   Please let the instructor know if you require a machine.

Class maximum is 4 students

Cost:  Class price -$56.00       ACP Member - $50.00      Student - ID required - $28.00
