  • Laced Rim on Gourd or Wooden Bowl

    Come and learn how to add an attractive "V" pattern laced leather rim on a gourd or wooden bowl.  You will need to bring an opened and prepared gourd or wooden bowl for this class.  Please seal the inside of your bowl by painting, dying or varnishing.  In the class you will learn how to space holes and drill them the right size.  You will finish the outside of the gourd, making sure to add colour in the drilled holes as well.  You will chose from the variety of laces, and learn how to add new pieces of lace when needed.

    Lacing and needles will be provided, as well as instructions.

    Students should bring an apron, prepared gourd, and patience.

    ***PREREQUISITE - BEGINNER GOURD ART***  

    Woodturners are also welcome to bring their prepared wooden bowl.
